Toney Elementary School is excited to be the top Georgia United Federal Credit School Crashers® 2019 winner! The School Crashers have many improvement projects scheduled to greatly improve the appearance, atmosphere and safety for Toney Tigers when students return in August. The goal of school crashers is to help improve the learning environment for students, faculty, and the community have the best possible experience while at Toney.
Projects include:
- The addition of an outdoor classroom courtyard & garden area - including picnic tables, benches, an outdoor white board, a shade canopy, raised planter beds, outdoor murals, a bird sanctuary area, a pollinator garden, and landscaping including a walking path
- New carpet from Mohawk® – in your media center, teachers’ lounge and front office areas
- New flexible tables and chairs for your media center
- Front office paint and new seating area for visitors
- Fresh paint on the exterior front of your school, in your front office and selected areas
- New computer lab tables, new classroom signage for the hallways, and a few surprises
The School Crash will take place Friday, July 19th from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Volunteers are needed to help crash the school! Volunteers will receive breakfast, lunch, and a t-shirt!
