African-American Male Read-In

In celebration of Black History Month, Toney Elementary School would like to invite all African American fathers, grandfathers, brothers, uncles, and male community members to participate in our school’s annual African American Male Read-In. The African American Male Read-In will be held Friday, February 8th at 8:30 am. Registration and check-in will begin at 8:00 am.

Motivating children to read is an important factor in student achievement. Research has shown that children who spend more time reading do better in school. The Toney Elementary School Staff recognizes the importance of the connection among home, school, and community. When the school and community come together to highlight the importance of reading, we enlighten our students’ development and broaden their horizons.

If you are interested in participating in this event, please click here for online registration.  Online registration for the Read-In will close, Wednesday, February 6th. Follow-up calls will be made to confirm your participation.

If you would have questions or would like further information, please contact Mr. Stanley Bradley at (678) 874-2102. We thank you in advance for assisting us in shaping the minds of our future leaders of tomorrow!
